A law firm in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Senior Attorney specializing in civil litigation, particularly employment litigation. The candidate will provide legal representation to clients, counsel clients on employment laws, and handle a variety of complex civil litigation matters.

 

Duties:

  • Handle complex civil litigation matters, with a focus on employment litigation.
  • Provide legal representation to clients, assessing facts and issues, and counseling clients appropriately.
  • Advise clients on federal and state employment laws, including wage and hour issues, harassment, discrimination, and wrongful termination claims.
  • Research and draft various legal documents, including motions, employment agreements, termination agreements, and workplace policies.
  • Participate in litigation defense or prosecution of civil claims.
  • Respond to client concerns to increase and retain business.
  • Represent the firm internally and externally by participating in industry organizations and committees.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support legal and management goals.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active California Bar license.
  • 8-10 years of attorney experience, with some experience in employment law.
  • Experience in Employment Law and/or Employment Litigation.
  • Familiarity with ProLaw or other billing and document management programs.
