Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced employment attorney to join their team as Special Counsel in a ATLANTA  office setting. This remote role, based in the United States, involves handling administrative charges, attorney demand letters, and employment litigation for various clients, including those with Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI). The position offers flexibility and focuses on delivering high-quality legal work without business development pressures.

Duties

  • Handle employment matters directly and supervise others.
  • Develop case strategies and draft legal documents.
  • Conduct depositions and represent clients at hearings and trials.
  • Collaborate with partners and a team of attorneys.
  • Focus on administrative charges, demand letters, and single-plaintiff litigation.
  • Potential involvement in class actions and PAGA cases.

Requirements

  • Over seven years of experience in employment law and litigation.
  • Expertise in handling employment law matters independently.
  • Active bar membership in good standing.
  • Experience practicing in a law firm preferred.
  • Experience with EPLI matters preferred.
  • Bar admission in California preferred.

Education

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active bar membership in good standing.

Skills

  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
  • Strong legal drafting and case strategy skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
