Job Overview:

The Senior Advice And Counsel Associate Attorney will be responsible for conducting audits of employer practices, drafting and revising incentive compensation documents, and providing clear and understandable communication on employment law issues. The role also involves identifying problem-solving options and guiding clients toward practical and legal solutions.

Job Duties:

  • Conduct audits of employer practices, including wage and hour policies and procedures.
  • Draft and revise incentive compensation documents, including commission and bonus plans.
  • Draft and revise policies, handbooks, and other employee communication documents for clarity.
  • Explain complex employment law issues in a way that is understandable to a diverse audience.
  • Identify problem-solving options, presenting pros and cons to clients for informed decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admitted to the CA State Bar and in good standing.
  • 7 years of relevant experience in employment law.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local workplace and employment law (a plus).
  • Understanding current agency (state and federal) enforcement techniques (a plus).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience conducting training or workplace investigations preferred.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admission to the CA State Bar and in good standing.
