Associate Attorney needed for Hopewell Junction office

A law firm in Hopewell Junction, NY, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 0-5 years of experience. The candidate will provide general counsel in various subject areas including labor and employment, special education, discrimination, harassment and bullying, Title IX, student and employee discipline, Freedom of Information Law, business issues, and public construction projects. Responsibilities include handling administrative hearings, client trainings, litigation, union negotiations, and direct client contact.

Duties:

• Provide general counsel in a variety of subject areas
• Handle administrative hearings, client trainings, litigation, and union negotiations
• Maintain direct client contact
• Conduct legal research, writing, and analysis
• Collaborate with legal team members on case strategy and execution

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA accredited law school
• Awaiting admission to or admitted to the New York Bar
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Experience in labor, employment, municipal, and/or education law is a plus

Education:

Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an ABA accredited law school

Certifications:
