Job Overview:

A law firm in Washington, DC, seeks a highly motivated and experienced Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent client management skills, superior academic credentials, and a background in transactional tax matters, including real estate funds/JVs, Private Equity, Strategic mergers and acquisitions, finance and restructuring work, and tax controversy work.

Job Details:

Duties:

  • Handle transactional tax matters focusing on real estate funds/JVs, Private Equity, Strategic mergers and acquisitions, finance and restructuring work, and tax controversy work.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in fund formation and partnership tax matters.
  • Participate in the structuring of inbound foreign investments.
  • Contribute expertise in REIT and real estate finance matters.

Requirements:

  • Possess 3-6 years of relevant transactional tax experience.
  • Previous experience in a large law firm setting is essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional client management and communication abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of transactional tax matters.
  • Proficiency in real estate funds/JVs, Private Equity, and mergers and acquisitions.
  • Strong understanding of finance and restructuring work.
  • Excellent research and writing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
