Job Overview: A law firm based in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Mid-Level Employee Benefits Executive Compensation Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience in various aspects of employee benefits and executive compensation matters. The ideal candidate should demonstrate proficiency in drafting, designing, implementing, and administration of retirement plans, health and welfare benefit plans, executive compensation arrangements, and taxation issues related to executive compensation.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and support on a broad range of employee benefits and executive compensation matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate agreements related to employee benefits and executive compensation arrangements.
  • Assist in the design, implementation, and administration of tax-qualified and non-qualified retirement plans.
  • Advise clients on health and welfare benefit plans, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Handle executive compensation and benefits aspects of mergers and acquisitions transactions.
  • Address taxation issues associated with executive compensation arrangements, including Sections 409A and 280G of the Internal Revenue Code.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop effective strategies and solutions.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the State Bar of Texas or eligibility for admission.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in employee benefits and executive compensation law.
  • Strong academic background with a high level of achievement.
  • Prior experience in a law firm environment is preferred.
  • Excellent writing, drafting, and communication skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the State Bar of Texas or eligibility for admission.

Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of employee benefits and executive compensation laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and agreements.
