Job Overview

A distinguished law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join its Construction practice group in New York. This role is ideal for an experienced litigator with a strong background in New York Labor Law, general liability, premises liability, and municipal liability. The attorney will be responsible for managing complex litigation matters from inception through trial. Duties

• Manage and litigate complex matters related to:

  • New York Labor Law

  • General liability

  • Premises liability

  • Municipal liability

• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and legal briefs

• Conduct and manage discovery, including depositions and expert coordination

• Perform legal research and prepare memoranda and strategy recommendations

• Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, and trials

• Collaborate with legal teams and support staff to deliver high-quality service

• Participate in client communications and strategy meetings

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience

• Substantial experience in New York Labor Law cases

• Ability to independently manage cases through all stages of litigation

• Strong understanding of procedural and substantive issues in civil litigation

• Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of New York (in good standing)

• Capable of managing complex case files and meeting procedural deadlines
