Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Junior Attorney in New York to join their team focused on defending complex product liability cases and commercial disputes. The role involves working with policyholders, brokers, and insurers on various insurance claims.

Duties

• Take depositions, attend hearings, and mediations as required.
• Draft pleadings and briefs.
• Prepare correspondence to colleagues and clients.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw/Lexis/Nexis.
• Draft interrogatories and document demands.
• Review document collections in preparation for litigation.
• Submit filings to the court.

Requirements

• Admission to practice in NY and CT is required.
• Commercial litigation experience is required.
• Asbestos/toxic tort experience is ideal.
• Courtroom experience, including motions, is required.
• Trial experience is required.

• J.D./LLM
