Labor and Employment Associate Attorney

A law firm situated in the bustling legal landscape of New York City, NY, is actively seeking a Labor and Employment Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of dedicated experience in labor and employment defense. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in employment litigation cases, representing clients before federal and state courts, as well as government agencies. Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills are essential. The ideal candidate should also be well-versed in providing employment counseling. The position entails managing a litigation caseload, including the preparation of responsive pleadings, position statements, discovery requests/responses, and dispositive motions. The candidate must hold a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and be a member in good standing of the New York State Bar.

Duties:

• Provide comprehensive legal counsel and representation in labor and employment defense cases.
• Engage in employment litigation matters, appearing before federal and state courts as well as government agencies.
• Offer strategic guidance and counseling to clients in various employment matters.
• Manage a litigation caseload, including drafting responsive pleadings, position statements, and discovery requests/responses.
• Draft and argue dispositive motions.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
• Collaborate with legal teams and clients to deliver efficient and effective legal solutions.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience focused on labor and employment defense.
• A strong background in employment litigation, counseling, and case management.
• Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Membership in good standing with the New York State Bar.
• Demonstrated experience handling a variety of employment matters.
