A law firm is seeking an Education Law Attorney for their La Mesa, CA, location. The ideal candidate should possess:

Job Overview: The Education Law Attorney will provide legal counsel and representation to public education entities. This role requires a keen understanding of education law, strong advocacy skills, and the ability to handle various legal matters.

Duties:

• Provide legal advice and representation to public education entities on various matters related to education law.
• Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and provide written and oral opinions.
• Represent clients in administrative proceedings, negotiations, and litigation.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to develop legal strategies and solutions.
• Stay updated on changes in education law and related regulations.

Requirements:

• 2-7 years of legal experience or prior employment in education, public entities, or labor relations.
• Strong academic credentials, including membership in good standing of the California Bar.
• Excellent writing, research, and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects with attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work effectively and independently, as well as in a team environment.
• Flexibility, initiative, and a willingness to work on various legal matters.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Member in good standing of the California Bar.
