A law firm in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Labor and Employment Litigation Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience to handle all aspects of litigating individual and class action labor and employment law cases. The candidate will play a crucial role in advocating for clients in various legal proceedings and providing high-quality legal representation.

 

Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of litigating individual and class action labor and employment law cases.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Propound and respond to discovery requests.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Conduct witness interviews.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations.
  • Argue motions, attend hearings, and represent clients in trials, arbitrations, and mediations.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in California.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in labor and employment litigation.
  • Experience in wage & hour class action litigation is required.
  • Excellent research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to practice law in California.

 

Skills:

  • Strong research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to handle all aspects of litigation independently.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and mediation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
