Labor Law / Premise Liability Attorney

A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking an Attorney with a focus on Labor Law and Premises Liability to work on all aspects of personal injury litigation from inception to conclusion. The successful candidate will be responsible for court appearances, drafting pleadings, motions, opposition papers, and discovery responses, as well as conducting depositions, 50-H hearings, EUOs, and any other tasks related to personal injury litigation. This role requires experience in labor law and premises liability, and New York State Bar admission is mandatory.

Duties:

• Handle all aspects of personal injury litigation, including cases related to labor law and premises liability.
• Make court appearances on behalf of clients.
• Draft various legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, opposition papers, and discovery responses.
• Conduct and defend depositions, 50-H hearings, and Examinations Under Oath (EUOs).
• Collaborate with clients and witnesses to gather necessary information and evidence.
• Provide legal advice to clients and represent them in negotiations and court proceedings.
• Stay updated on changes in labor law, premises liability regulations, and case law.

Requirements:

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
• Proven experience in handling personal injury litigation cases.
• Strong knowledge of labor law and premises liability.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage a caseload, work independently, and meet deadlines.
