Job Overview: A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, seeks an Associate Attorney with 4-6 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in employment or complex litigation defense, including class actions, traditional labor law, and employment counseling. Duties:

  • Represent clients in various legal proceedings, including but not limited to class and representative actions, single-plaintiff actions, and traditional labor law cases.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies and client advice.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements.
  • Provide strategic counsel to clients on employment-related matters.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and partners to develop case strategies and approaches.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as required.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in employment or complex litigation defense.
  • Demonstrated experience in class actions, traditional labor law, and employment counseling.
  • Strong academic credentials with Order of the Coif, law review, or clerkship experience preferred.
  • Excellent writing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
