A law firm based in Charlotte is seeking a Corporate Associate Attorney with experience in mergers and acquisitions, privately-held businesses, contract review and analysis, capital raising, loan document review, and corporate governance. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of prior law firm experience.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and support on mergers and acquisitions transactions.
  • Assist with the formation and governance of privately-held businesses.
  • Review and analyze contracts related to corporate transactions.
  • Advise clients on capital raising activities, including securities offerings.
  • Review loan documents and provide legal guidance on financing transactions.
  • Assist clients with corporate governance matters, including board meetings and compliance.


Requirements:

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • 4-6 years of prior law firm experience in corporate law.
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions, privately-held businesses, contract review and analysis, capital raising, loan document review, and corporate governance.
  • Strong understanding of corporate law principles and practices.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

Education:

JD from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar.

  • In-depth knowledge of corporate law.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
