A law firm in Los Angeles is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate must be capable of working independently while also contributing effectively to a collaborative, fast-paced team environment. They should possess excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills, as well as federal and state court experience. The candidate must have a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school and be a member of the State Bar of California.

 

Duties:

  • Independently manage cases and assist in team-based litigation efforts.
  • Conduct legal research, analysis, and writing for various litigation matters.
  • Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Represent clients in federal and state court proceedings.
  • Assist in deposition preparation, conduct depositions, and participate in discovery efforts.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop case strategies.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA accredited law school.
  • Member in good standing of the State Bar of California.
  • 3-5 years of experience in complex litigation.
  • Experience in general commercial litigation, employment class actions, PAGA actions, and/or commercial class actions preferred.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Federal and state court experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Member of the State Bar of California.

 

Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Federal and state court experience.
  • Proficiency in case management and organization.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
