Job Overview:
A nationally recognized employment law firm is seeking a Employee Rights Attorney for its expanding office in Charlotte, NC. This full-time, permanent position is ideal for attorneys passionate about advocating for workers’ rights, including cases involving discrimination, harassment, wage disputes, and wrongful termination. Location:

  • Charlotte, NC

Duties:

  • Draft legal pleadings for employment law cases

  • Handle the discovery process, including managing documentation and interrogatories

  • Conduct depositions and client interviews

  • Participate in trial proceedings

  • Evaluate claims related to:

    • Workplace discrimination

    • Sexual harassment

    • FMLA violations

    • Overtime and wage disputes

    • Wrongful termination

  • Negotiate settlements and advocate on behalf of clients

  • Collaborate with staff and managers to coordinate consultations and case screenings

  • Maintain consistent client communication throughout case lifecycles

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

  • Licensed to practice law in North Carolina, or awaiting NC bar results while licensed in another state

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to demonstrate empathy with clients from diverse backgrounds

  • Effective time management and organizational skills

  • Willingness to handle a broad range of employment-related legal matters

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in North Carolina or eligibility based on bar results and out-of-state licensure

Skills:
