The successful candidate will counsel clients, conduct legal research, and represent clients in court proceedings. Additionally, the role involves overseeing support staff and managing administrative tasks related to client interactions.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining an appropriate course of action.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions.
  • Represent clients in court, arguing motions during legal proceedings.
  • Supervise paralegals and administrative assistants, overseeing time records, client billing, setting up meetings, and completing client projects.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from law school with a Juris Doctorate.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in representing clients as a Criminal Defense Attorney.
  • Current active membership in the local Bar association is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Well-versed in legal research software (Westlaw/Lexis).

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Courtroom experience and proficiency in arguing motions.
  • Supervisory skills for managing support staff.
