Criminal Defense Trial Attorney

A law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a Criminal Defense Trial Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling cases from initial interview through motions, trial, and appeal, utilizing the firm's culture and approach to each case.

Job Details:

• Manage cases from initial interview to resolution, including motions, trials, and appeals.
• Make court appearances on behalf of clients.
• Conduct prospective client intake interviews to assess cases.
• Engage in legal communication, including plea negotiations and courtroom interactions with prosecutors and judges.
• Utilize Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, Excel) for legal documentation and communication.
• Experience with the MyCase case management system is preferred.
• Maintain active membership in good standing with the Georgia Bar Association.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Requirements:

• Degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the Georgia Bar Association.
• 3+ years of experience in criminal defense trial practice.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Experience with the MyCase case management system is preferred.
