A law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney in Philadelphia, PA. The attorney will primarily assist in personal injury matters, involving various tasks throughout the litigation process. They will draft complaints, discovery requests, and responses, as well as motions for summary judgment and motions in limine. The candidate will attend depositions, arbitrations, case management conferences, settlement conferences, and other legal proceedings. Negotiating settlements, performing legal research, and client communication are also key aspects of this role.

 

Duties:

  • Assist in personal injury matters
  • Draft complaints, discovery requests, and responses
  • Draft motions for summary judgment, motions in limine, and others
  • Attend depositions, arbitrations, case management conferences, settlement conferences, and others
  • Prepare demands and negotiate settlements
  • Perform legal research on novel legal issues
  • Client communication as needed

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
  • License to practice law
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical skills
