Job Overview

A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with experience in New York Labor Law to join its Construction practice group. This role involves managing complex litigation matters in areas including construction labor law, general liability, premises liability, and municipal liability. Duties

• Handle litigation matters involving New York Labor Law, general liability, premises liability, and municipal liability

• Manage cases from inception through trial, including:

  • Drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs

  • Conducting legal research and analysis

  • Managing discovery and taking depositions

• Collaborate with legal teams and interact with clients throughout the litigation process

• Contribute to legal strategy development and case preparation

• Attend court hearings, mediations, and trials as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of general litigation experience

• Background in New York Labor Law litigation strongly preferred

• Ability to manage complex matters with minimal supervision

• Strong research, writing, and communication skills

• Commitment to client service and timely legal work

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications

• Active admission to the New York State Bar in good standing (required)
