STEVEN J.W. HEELEY JOINS ROTHSTEIN DONATELLI AS OF COUNSEL TO THE FIRM
The Firm is pleased to welcome Steve Heeley as of counsel. The breadth and depth of Steve's work on behalf of Indian tribes is unparalleled. Most recently, Steve spent many years as outside counsel and consultant to a large tribe in Arizona, and, prior to that, as in-house counsel for the tribe. Early in his career, he spent a number of years in Washington D.C., where he was Staff Director and Chief Counsel to the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs, Counsel to the Subcommittee on Native American Affairs of the Committee on Natural Resources in the U.S. House of Representatives, and Deputy Counsel on Indian Affairs to the House Committee on Interior and Insular Affairs. Steve provides advice and counsel to Indian tribes on corporate, transactional, natural resource, governance, and jurisdiction matters.
