Jacksonville Law Firms Look to Upgrade
Summary: Two law firms in Jacksonville, Florida are looking to upgrade and increase their office operations.
As reported by the Daily Record, personal injury law firm Morgan & Morgan is looking to expand its capabilities within the SunTrust Tower Downtown. The law firm currently resides on the 11th floor but has filed a permit to add the 10th floor to its operations.
The city is reviewing the application with a projected cost of $641,000 to make alterations and repairs to the 16,320 square foot space including the 10th floor. The firm anticipates work on the flooring, millwork, plumbing, fire sprinklers, HVAC, electrical and paint.
The submitted plan includes four corner offices for their partners plus 10 offices for case managers, 13 additional offices, a break room, and open space. They intend to use Kasper Architects & Associates and Dav-Lin Interior Contractors to get the job done.
Morgan & Morgan has 23 offices in Florida and a total of 40 offices across 11 states.
The property owner, Mainstreet Capital Partners, also filed an application to upgrade the common areas for both floors. The real estate investment company bought the 23-floor building just two years ago for $3.1 million.
Another law firm looking to add on to its office is the Tallahassee-based Howard & Associates
. They want to renovate their space on the 21st floor of the Riverplace Tower on the Southbank Downtown. They have contracted with Hota Design Studio for the architectural needs and Adams Interior Contractors to put their $320,000 plan to add 7,700 square feet to action.
