John Edwards Needs New Legal Team, Again.
Former senator and one-time VP and later Presidential hopeful John Edwards is changing his legal team once again. Edwards is under investigation by the FEC for violating federal campaign finance laws. The reason was his latest legal team's conflict of interest. Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice will no longer be representing him. Before Womble, the other firms who had one time represented Edwards are Skadden and Chadbourne & Parke. Now he is being represented by Smith Moore Leatherwood, a North Carolina- based law firm.
