BLS Report Says 1,000 Jobs Added in Legal Industry
The January jobs report from the BLS says that around 1,000 jobs were added in the legal industry. The news comes as a major improvement when compared to the December 2011 jobs report which said that there were around 1,100 layoffs in the legal industry.
The addition of around 1,000 jobs also means that the legal industry has seen its biggest one-month hiring increase since July 2011. The improving legal industry hiring trends appear to be part of the overall increase in hiring across the economy. In January, 243,000 net jobs were created. The overall unemployment rate has now fallen to 8.3 percent.
