Houston Law Firm Sued By Ex-Client for Being Pressured to Settle for Less
Two Houston lawyers, Tammy Tran and Pete Mai as well as Tran's law firm - Tammy Tran Attorneys at Law, is being sued by a woman who claims they pressured her to take a deal even though she could have won the case for which she retained their services. Nancy Mai hired Tammy Tran's services in a case involving the sale of a car in 2007. Mai says that the firm initially promised to help her win $156,000 in damages but then made her accept just $6,000 to settle the suit. She is also seeking attorney fees, costs and interest, among other several other things.
