Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan is moving to Moscow, in less than two months, after announcing plans to open a new office in Washington, D.C. This is Quinn's tenth office with two lateral hires from Dechert's Moscow office, Ivan Marisin and Vasily Kuznetsov. According to John Quinn, managing partner at Quinn, the idea for a Moscow office came from the firm's involvement in litigation, involving Russian nationals and wealthy Westerners doing business in Russia. The firm plans to have ten attorneys in the Moscow office within six months.
