Howrey's Chapter 11 case may soon draw to a close
According to the publication ''The recorder '', Howrey's Chapter 11 case in California may close as creditors make a plan for dissolution of the firm. The unsecured creditors were preparing to give Howrey time to collect cases in order to pay back its largest secured creditor, City Bank. The Howery lawyers came to settlement with milk and dairy producer Dean Foods. Another settlement was made with Wal-Mart. Thomas Willoughby and Christopher Crowell were hired as counsel to the official committee of unsecured creditors in Howrey's bankruptcy.
