Duties:

  • Draft patent applications and responses to office actions.
  • Conduct patentability and freedom-to-operate searches and analyses.
  • Communicate with clients, patent examiners, and colleagues regarding patent prosecution matters.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of patent strategies.

Requirements:

  • 2-6 years of legal experience.
  • Experience with drafting and patent prosecution in intellectual property (IP) law.
  • Background in computer science, electrical engineering, or similar.
  • Design engineering experience with a chip company is a plus.
  • Preference for candidates with experience in networking, software, 3G/4G/5G wireless networks, or related technologies.
  • Admitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Bar licensure in California is a plus.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Bar in at least one state.
  • Admission to the USPTO.
