Senior Litigation Counsel

Charlotte office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks senior litigation counsel with 7+ years of significant civil, securities, and/or commercial litigation experience. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter capable of managing an active litigation caseload and experienced in drafting and preparing pleadings, briefs, motions, and other litigation documents; managing discovery, including taking/presenting witnesses for deposition, oral argument, and trial preparation; conducting legal research, analysis, and writing. First-chair experience is a plus. Current member of the North Carolina bar with litigation experience in North Carolina federal and state courts essential.

The candidate should have a JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school. Must have excellent academic credentials. Should have excellent legal research and analysis skills. Must possess excellent oral advocacy, communication, and writing skills. Ability to learn and embrace new skills and best practices as the position evolves and Firm needs change needed. Must have ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Should have the ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a diverse group of internal and external clients, attorneys, and staff needed. Excellent oral and written communication skills essential.
