A law firm in Charlotte is seeking a Real Estate Litigation Associate Attorney with a minimum of 7 years of experience in real estate litigation or commercial litigation. The candidate will primarily focus on real estate litigation, representing title insurance companies, insureds, lenders, owners, lawyers, developers, and contractors. They will manage all phases of the litigation process, including investigation, pleadings, discovery, pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal. Additionally, the attorney will be responsible for drafting case evaluations, conducting legal research, preparing pleadings and motions, and representing clients at hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials. The candidate should possess strong communication and collaboration skills and demonstrate the ability to effectively manage complex litigation matters from inception to resolution. A J.D. degree and active licensure in North Carolina, in good standing with the State Bar, are required.

 

Duties:

  • Focus primarily on real estate litigation, representing various clients including title insurance companies, insureds, lenders, owners, lawyers, developers, and contractors.
  • Manage all phases of the litigation process, from investigation and pleadings to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
  • Draft case evaluations, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct thorough legal research on real estate and litigation matters.
  • Represent clients at hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand objectives and provide strategic legal advice and representation.
  • Work independently and as part of a collaborative team to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in real estate litigation or commercial litigation.
  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active licensure in North Carolina, in good standing with the State Bar.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Active licensure in North Carolina, in good standing with the State Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Strong litigation skills with a focus on real estate matters.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage complex litigation matters from inception to resolution.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
