Job Overview: A law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a highly experienced and accomplished Corporate Partner to provide strategic advice to companies, private equity funds, and venture capital funds in various aspects related to their growth and structures. The ideal candidate must be a member in good standing with the GA Bar and possess substantial expertise in mergers & acquisitions and general corporate matters. The role requires 10-15 years of meaningful corporate/transactional experience, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and general corporate governance. Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills are essential, along with a proven academic record and solid business development foundations. The candidate should also bring some portable business to the firm.

Duties:

  • Provide strategic advice to companies, private equity funds, and venture capital funds on matters related to growth and structures.
  • Handle mergers & acquisitions and general corporate matters with a high level of expertise.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and general corporate governance.
  • Engage in effective business development activities to contribute to the growth of the firm.
  • Bring in and manage the portable business.
  • Uphold high standards of legal practice, ethics, and professional conduct.

Requirements:

  • Member in good standing with the GA Bar.
  • 10-15 years of meaningful corporate/transactional experience.
  • Proven expertise in mergers & acquisitions and general corporate matters.
  • Knowledgeable in areas of mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and general corporate governance.
  • Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Excellent academic record.
  • Solid foundations in business development.
  • Some portable business is required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar of Georgia.
