A law firm is seeking a Senior Mass Torts Litigation Attorney for its Wilmington, NC, location.

Job Overview:

The Senior Mass Torts Litigation Attorney will oversee all aspects of mass tort litigation cases, provide legal counsel to clients, manage a team of paralegals, and ensure effective case strategies to serve client needs.

Duties:

  • Draft lawsuits, discovery documents, briefs, motions, and pleadings.
  • Conduct depositions, mediations, and trials.
  • Managed and guided paralegals in civil litigation and Camp Lejeune cases.
  • Analyze client needs and determine appropriate legal solutions.
  • Argue motions in court during legal proceedings.
  • Perform legal research and draft briefs, pleadings, and motions.
  • Provide legal counsel and support to clients.

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of Personal Injury trial experience.
  • Experience in federal courts preferred.
  • Experience with mass torts preferred.
  • Proficiency in writing, research, and negotiation.
  • Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to work in a paperless environment and navigate online software.
  • Must handle complex caseloads with little supervision.
  • An active member of the local Bar Association.
  • Current JD.
  • NC State Bar licensed.
  • Advanced computer skills working with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis) are required.
  • Superb negotiation skills and experience.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) required.
  • NC State Bar license.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Superior public speaking skills.
