A law firm in San Francisco is seeking a dedicated Junior or Mid-level/Senior Executive Compensation and Benefits Associate Attorney to join the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in executive compensation and benefits, including mergers and acquisitions, financings, IPOs, stock compensation plans, ERISA, and public company reporting. They will be responsible for conducting research, preparing legal documents, interacting with clients, mentoring junior associates, and contributing to a collaborative legal team.

 

Duties:

  • Work on all aspects of executive compensation and benefits practice.
  • Conduct legal research and assist in preparing legal documents.
  • Interact directly with clients on sophisticated transactions.
  • Mentor and share experience with junior associates.
  • Uphold ethics and conduct codes essential for legal practice.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and JD (Juris Doctor) or foreign equivalent.
  • LLM (Master of Laws) will be accepted instead of a JD degree.
  • Bar admission required.
  • Excellent academic record.
  • Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with public and private employers, including start-ups.
  • Knowledge of Section 280G analysis, Section 409A, and ERISA.
  • Familiarity with public company reporting and disclosure obligations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

 

Education & Certifications:

  • JD (Juris Doctor) or LLM (Master of Laws) degree required.
  • Bar admission in relevant jurisdiction.
