Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a Junior Level Financial Lines Insurance Associate Attorney to join their team in Philadelphia, PA. The ideal candidate will possess strong writing, research, and analytical skills, hold a JD from an accredited law school, and be licensed to practice law in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida, Texas, Illinois, and/or California. While 3 years of experience is preferred, motivated individuals with relevant backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Duties:

  • Assist in preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts related to financial lines insurance matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on insurance laws, regulations, and case precedents.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys in case management and strategy development.
  • Participate in client meetings, depositions, and court appearances as necessary.
  • Review and analyze insurance policies, coverage issues, and claims disputes.
  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on financial lines insurance matters.
  • Assist in negotiations and settlements with insurance companies and opposing parties.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida, Texas, Illinois, and/or California.
  • Strong understanding of insurance law and financial lines insurance products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience practicing law, preferably in financial lines insurance or related areas.
  • Prior experience working in a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Knowledge of relevant state and federal laws and regulations about insurance.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Florida, Texas, Illinois, and/or California.
