A law firm in Berwyn, PA, is seeking a Labor and Employment Career Attorney with robust experience in employment litigation. The ideal candidate will be adept at defending employers against single-plaintiff discrimination, harassment, retaliation claims, and ERISA litigation. This role requires a dedicated professional who can effectively manage various legal tasks while maintaining occasional in-office presence for critical meetings and court-related activities.

Duties:

  • Represent and defend employers in litigation involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and ERISA disputes.
  • Handle all stages of litigation, including case assessment, pleadings, discovery, pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
  • Conduct depositions, prepare and respond to discovery requests, and engage in motion practice.
  • Appear in court for hearings and trials and participate in mediation and arbitration proceedings.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on compliance with federal and state labor and employment laws.
  • Draft legal documents, including briefs, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their legal needs and develop strategies that align with their business objectives.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in employment litigation, with a strong emphasis on defending employers.
  • Proven track record in handling single plaintiff and ERISA litigation cases.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in the United States, with a preference for candidates licensed in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and/or New York.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a litigation caseload effectively.
  • Excellent academic credentials and solid experience defending employment actions in agencies and courts.
  • Requires occasional in-office presence for team collaboration, client meetings, depositions, and court appearances.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership and good standing in the bar of at least one of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or New York.
