A law firm is seeking a Lateral Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience in employment matters related to corporate transactions to join its Employment, Executive Compensation & Benefits practice group in Boston. This position offers the opportunity to work with private equity clients and strategic investors on various employment issues.

Location:

  • Boston, MA

Duties:

  • Handle employment aspects of transactions involving private equity and strategic investors.
  • Draft and negotiate employment agreements, offer letters, separation agreements, and restrictive covenant agreements.
  • Conduct legal research to ensure compliance with applicable state laws.
  • Advise clients on structuring transactions and market practices regarding employment issues.
  • Participate in due diligence calls and negotiate transaction documents.
  • Analyze legal and factual backgrounds of disputes and litigation matters.
  • Assist in developing case strategy and preparing court and agency filings.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in employment aspects of private equity or M&A transactions.
  • Proven experience in drafting and negotiating employment-related agreements.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and client management skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to practice in Massachusetts or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.

Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to apply legal principles to various factual scenarios.
  • Strong judgment and strategic thinking abilities.
