Active North Carolina Bar admission in good standing is required, along with strong research, organizational, and analytical skills. This role also involves the drafting of legal documents, conducting hearings and depositions, and managing various aspects of worker's compensation defense.

Duties:

  • Consult with clients to understand their worker's compensation defense needs and provide legal counsel.
  • Conduct hearings and represent clients in worker's compensation proceedings.
  • Prepare and respond to motions, including pleadings, motions to dismiss, and motions for summary judgment.
  • Handle the preparation and response to discovery requests, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
  • Draft briefs, legal documents, and memos related to worker's compensation cases.
  • Conduct depositions of witnesses, experts, and other parties involved in cases.
  • Manage the collection, organization, and analysis of case-related documents and evidence.
  • Stay updated on worker's compensation laws, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with clients, partners, and other attorneys to develop legal strategies and solutions.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in the worker's compensation field.
  • Active North Carolina Bar admission in good standing.
  • Experience in drafting briefs and other legal documents.
  • Strong research, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in conducting hearings and depositions.
  • Experience in handling discovery in legal proceedings.

Certifications:

  • Active North Carolina Bar admission in good standing is mandatory for this role.

Education:
