Job Overview

A law firm seeks an International Employment Associate in Raleigh, NC. The position involves supporting cross-border and global employment work, with a focus on employment counseling. The role requires interaction with various offices globally and offers opportunities to work with a diverse client base, from emerging growth companies to Fortune 500 firms.

Duties

  • Conduct employment diligence and advise on employment aspects of corporate transactions.
  • Advise on employment policies and practices.
  • Draft and negotiate employment, retention, and related agreements.
  • Advise on reductions in force and other employee terminations.
  • Draft restrictive covenants and counsel on employee mobility.
  • Provide comprehensive employment law advice to clients.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of employment counseling experience, domestic and/or international.
  • Experience in an AmLaw 100 law firm preferred.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Education

  • JD from a nationally recognized law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice in the jurisdiction of application.

  • Strong business judgment and attention to detail.
  • Research and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence and communicate persuasively.
  • Management and conceptual thinking skills.
