Litigation Associate Attorney

Duties:

• Represent clients in various stages of the litigation process, including pleadings, discovery, motions, hearings, trials, and appeals.
• Conducted legal research and drafted legal documents such as complaints, motions, briefs, and memoranda.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and assist in trial preparation.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Attend court proceedings and participate in settlement negotiations.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the North Carolina State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
• 4-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in a law firm setting.
• Strong writing skills demonstrated by legal writing samples.
• Excellent academic credentials, with a ranking in the top 25% of law school class.

Certifications:

• Admission to the North Carolina State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research databases such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical solutions.
