Commercial and Complex Litigation Associate Attorney

Duties:

• Handle defense of wage and hour litigation, focusing on class actions.
• Prepare and respond to written discovery in wage and hour cases with limited supervision.
• Conduct depositions and motions involving discovery issues.
• Develop and implement discovery plans.
• Draft opposing motions for class certification in wage and hour matters.
• Communicate with clients, demonstrating professionalism and competence in legal and strategic aspects.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the California State Bar.
• Minimum 4 years of experience handling the defense of wage and hour litigation, preferably class actions.
• Thorough understanding of California and federal wage and hour laws, including overtime and meal and rest periods.
• Experience with deposition and motion practice related to discovery issues.
• Excellent writing skills with a focus on opposing motions for class certification.
