A law firm in New York City is seeking a Mid-level Chemical Science Patent Prosecution Associate Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling complex client work related to patent preparation and prosecution, demonstrating a high level of professional capability and skill.

 

Duties:

  • Prepare draft patent applications and responses to communications from the USPTO.
  • Assist attorneys in delivering quality legal services to clients efficiently and cost-effectively.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in organic chemistry or chemical engineering.
  • Advanced degrees in relevant fields are preferred.
  • High level of academic achievement.
  • The solid law firm, engineering, or industry experience.
  • Superb writing and communication skills.

 

Education:

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Bachelor's degree in organic chemistry or chemical engineering.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

 

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in drafting patent applications and responses.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle complex and sensitive client work.
