Wilmington office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a patent agent with 2+ years of patent prosecution experience at a firm or in-house. The candidate should have Degree in Chemical Engineering (B.S.), Chemistry (Ph.D.), and/or Organic Chemistry (Ph.D.), or Molecular Biology (Ph.D.). Must have Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

The candidate must excel in a team environment and be a highly-motivated self-starter with excellent business judgment, the ability to communicate clearly with clients, and the flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The ability to draft patent applications is a must. Excellent academic credentials are required. Ability to learn and embrace new skills and best practices as the position evolves and Firm needs change is required. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines is needed. Must have the ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team. The ability to develop relationships and foster teamwork at all levels of the Firm is essential. Should have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of internal and external clients, attorneys, and staff. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. The ability to manage confidential information and sensitive situations with tact and discretion is needed. Ability and confidence to identify and analyze issues, make decisions, and initiate actions/solutions are required. Should have the agility to respond to unexpected challenges, including proactively developing innovative solutions to complex problems while maintaining a professional demeanor. Must have the ability to maintain composure and demonstrate good judgment.
