Labor & Employment Litigator

A law firm seeks a seasoned Labor & Employment Litigator to serve in a hybrid capacity in Los Angeles, CA. This senior‐level role involves guiding individual employment disputes under California’s Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) and managing complex wage‐and‐hour class actions, with meaningful client engagement and leadership responsibilities.

Duties

• Lead all phases of single‐plaintiff FEHA litigation, from intake through resolution

• Oversee wage‐and‐hour collective and class claims, including motion practice and settlements

• Advise employer clients on compliance strategies and risk mitigation under state and federal labor laws

• Mentor junior attorneys and collaborate with cross-functional teams on case strategy

• Interface directly with clients to deliver updates, counsel on sensitive issues, and negotiate resolutions

Requirements

• Minimum 7–10 years of courtroom and motion practice experience in California employment law

• Demonstrated record of handling FEHA individual claims and wage-and-hour class actions

• Ability to manage a diverse docket with minimal oversight and to assume significant case ownership

• Excellent advocacy skills—written briefs, oral argument, depositions, and client presentations

• Strong interpersonal aptitude for building trust with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to the California Bar in good standing
