A law firm is seeking a talented individual for the position of Construction and Real Estate - Construction Transactions - Major Projects and EPC Contracts. Below is a detailed job description:

Job Overview:

The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of transactional experience in energy, renewable, transportation, and social infrastructure projects. They will be responsible for drafting and negotiating EPC contracts, P3 agreements, CMAR agreements, subcontractor and supply agreements, and other commercial contracting and project finance documents. Exceptional writing skills, attention to detail, and strong academic credentials are essential for success in this role.

Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate EPC contracts, P3 agreements, CMAR agreements, subcontractor and supply agreements, and other commercial contracting documents.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on construction and real estate matters related to major projects.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on construction and real estate laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project requirements.
  • Assist in the review and analysis of project finance documents.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 4-6 years of transactional experience in energy, renewable, transportation, and social infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction and real estate law.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in legal research and analysis.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Illinois State Bar or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.
