A law firm in Salt Lake City, UT, is seeking an Employment Law Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience in labor and employment law. The ideal candidate must have excellent academic credentials, demonstrate a commitment to ethics, be highly motivated and hardworking, possess strong communication skills, and be capable of working with minimal supervision. Membership in the Utah Bar is required, or the candidate must be willing to become a member.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in employment law matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on employment law issues.
  • Draft and review employment agreements, policies, and other related documents.
  • Represent clients in employment-related litigation, including discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination cases.
  • Assist in compliance matters, including advising clients on federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Conduct training sessions for employers on employment law topics.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.

 

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in labor and employment law.
  • Membership in the Utah Bar, or willingness to become a member.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Commitment to ethics and professionalism.
  • Highly motivated and hardworking.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Employment and labor law litigation experience preferred.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Membership in the Utah Bar, or willingness to become a member.

 

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Litigation experience in employment and labor law cases is preferred.
