Employment Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking an experienced Employment Attorney to provide legal counsel and representation to clients in matters related to employment law.

Duties:

• Provide legal advice and representation to clients regarding employment law issues, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and employment contracts.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support clients' cases and provide informed legal counsel.
• Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and settlement proposals.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediation, and administrative hearings.
• Handle all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, motions, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Stay current with developments in employment law and advise clients on compliance with relevant statutes and regulations.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Utah State Bar and in good standing.
• Experience practicing employment law, preferably in a law firm setting.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a caseload and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Utah State Bar.
