Mid-level Life Science Corporate (Lifecycle) Associate Attorney

A law firm in Redwood City is actively seeking a Mid-level Life Science Corporate (Lifecycle) Associate Attorney with 2-4 years of experience. The ideal candidate will work with venture-backed private and public companies, handling various transactions such as equity financing, IPOs, M&A, and corporate governance. The role requires a keen interest in life sciences work and a general experience in both team collaboration and independently managing substantial components of transactions. The candidate should possess outstanding academic credentials, comparable law firm experience, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred experience includes working with life sciences companies.

Duties:

• Work with venture-backed private and public companies on a range of transactions, including equity financing, IPOs, M&A, and corporate governance.
• Demonstrate an interest in life sciences work.
• Collaborate in teams and independently manage substantial components of transactions.
• Provide legal counsel on corporate and transactional matters, including seed and venture capital transactions, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, private and public offerings of securities, and SEC reporting.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar in California or eligibility for admission.
• 2-4 years of experience in a broad range of corporate and transactional matters.
• Experience in seed and venture capital transactions, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, private and public offerings of securities, and SEC reporting.
• Outstanding academic credentials.
