Commercial Finance Associate Attorney

A law firm based in Washington, DC is in search of a Commercial Finance Associate Attorney with 5+ years of experience in drafting, negotiating, and closing commercial lending transactions. The ideal candidate should possess a firm understanding of issues related to Article 9 secured transactions and have substantial experience in drafting and negotiating inter-creditor agreements.

Duties:

• Draft, negotiate, and close commercial lending transactions.
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of issues involved in Article 9 secured transactions.
• Gain meaningful experience in drafting and negotiating inter-creditor agreements.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in the drafting, negotiation, and closing of commercial lending transactions.
• Strong understanding of issues related to Article 9 secured transactions.
• Meaningful experience in drafting and negotiating inter-creditor agreements.

Experience:

• Preferred experience with tax-advantaged financing.
• Knowledge of various tax credits.
• Familiarity with real estate and/or mergers and acquisitions.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications:

Any relevant certifications related to commercial finance and lending are advantageous.

Skills:

• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of commercial lending transactions.
• Strong knowledge of Article 9 secured transactions.
• Ability to draft and negotiate inter-creditor agreements.
• Familiarity with tax-advantaged financing, tax credits, real estate, and mergers and acquisitions.
