A law firm in Washington, D.C. is actively seeking a Mid-level to Senior Real Estate Associate Attorney/Counsel with expertise in multiple areas of commercial real estate. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and joint ventures. Superior academic credentials and excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills are essential. This position requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience to support the Real Estate practice.

 

Duties:

  • Handle a variety of commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and joint ventures.
  • Provide legal counsel on complex real estate transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct due diligence and research on real estate issues.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop and execute legal strategies.
  • Stay current with developments in real estate laws and regulations.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar in Washington, D.C. or eligibility for admission.
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate.
  • Significant experience with acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and joint ventures is preferred.
  • Superior academic credentials.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar in Washington, D.C. or eligibility for admission.

 

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of commercial real estate laws and regulations.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
