A law firm based in Washington, D.C. is currently seeking a Mid-Level Agency Finance Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate should have a demonstrated interest in cross-border transactions, particularly in project finance, structured finance, or corporate finance. Experience with energy and infrastructure projects, development finance institutions, and multilateral and emerging markets would be advantageous. The role involves meaningful transactional experience, supporting deals and requires admission to practice in New York. Professional proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, and/or French would be considered a valuable asset.

 

Duties:

  • Work on cross-border transactions, with a focus on project finance, structured finance, or corporate finance.
  • Handle legal aspects of energy and infrastructure projects, including dealing with development finance institutions and multilaterals.
  • Demonstrate an action-oriented interest in taking on increased levels of responsibility in supporting deals.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys in executing complex financial transactions.
  • Provide legal guidance and support throughout the deal lifecycle.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on international finance regulations and emerging market trends.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in the state of New York.
  • Mid-level experience in a leading domestic or international law firm.
  • Demonstrated interest and experience in cross-border transactions, especially in project finance, structured finance, or corporate finance.
  • Meaningful transactional experience.
  • Professional proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, and/or French (considered a valuable asset).

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.
